Around 7-8 am, our guide and driver will greet you holding a board with your name at your hotel in Beijing downtown area. First, we will go to and take a walk on Tiananmen Square, the heart and symbol of Beijing and is the largest city square in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years. Then you will stroll in the Forbidden City, one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built with wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). There were 24 emperors of the two dynasties once lived here. 

After lunch, we will drive about 1 hour to visit the  Badaling Great Wall, the most popular and accessible section of all the 5 sections in Beijing. Cable car is available and optional if you want to save time and get to the peak to have a bird eye’s view of the Great Wall (cost on your own). 

Today you will also visit the Jade Carving Factory to learn about Chinese jade culture with unbeatable shopping experience here. 

After visiting, you will be sent back to your Beijing downtown hotel.

Special note: 

1. Forbidden City is closed on Mondays. If your travel date happens to be Monday, we take another downtown attraction instead, or refund the entrance fee of Forbidden City to you.

2. Children: 0-12 years old.
