Around 8am, our guide and driver will greet you holding a board with your name at your Beijing downtown hotel. First we will go to and take a walk on the Tiananmen Square, the heart and symbol of Beijing and is the largest city square in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years. Then you will stroll in the Forbidden City, one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built with wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). There were 24 emperors of the two dynasties once lived here.

After lunch, we will drive about 1 hour to visit Mutianyu Great Wall, the most scenic part of Chinese Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty in 1368. 90 percentage of the Mutianyu is covered by vegetation. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional.Today you will also visit the Jade Carving Factory to learn about Chinese jade culture and appreciate some exquisite jade artworks, and Tea Shop to get idea of Chinese tea culture & art. After visiting, you will be sent back to your Beijing downtown hotel.


Special note: Forbidden City is closed on Mondays. If your travel date happens to be Monday, we take another downtown attraction instead, or refund the entrance fee of Forbidden City to you.
