At 8:30 am our guide and driver will greet you at your hotel in Beijing downtown area by holding a board with your name. First we will go to and take a walk on the Tiananmen Square, the heart and symbol of Beijing and the largest city square in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years. Then you will pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built of wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). There were 24 emperors of the two dynasties once lived here. 

After lunch, we will drive about 45 minutes to visit Badaling Great Wall, the most famous and the best-preserved section of the Chinese Ming Dynasty Great Wall. The mountain slope is very steep and the roads are tortuous, which makes it an important military stronghold in ancient time. The wall is like a strong dragon winding its way along the mountain ranges. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional. After visiting, you will be escorted back to your downtown hotel at around 5:00 pm.
