In the morning at 08:30 am, our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby and head for Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone, 40 kilometers away from the downtown. Nanshan Buddhism Culture Park & Nanhai Guanyin Buddha is a window on China’s traditional Buddhism culture; the Felicity and Longevity Culture Park shines its light on an atmosphere of peace and harmony; and the Nanhai Cultural Customs Park highlights China’s diverse social customs. Key features of the zone include the three-sided statue of Buddha, Buddhist temples, superior landscaping and sea views. The new highlight is the Nanhai Guanyin Buddha on the sea (108 meters in height). Next you will visit Luhuitou Park, a perfect place to have a bird-view of the city. Luhuitou means a deer turning its head. The park got its name from a romantic story. Once upon a time, there was a brutal tribal leader who wanted a pair of precious pilose antlers and forced a young man Ahei to hunt deer on mountains. Ahei saw a deer being chased by a leopard, and he shot the leopard and chased the deer across 99 mountains for 9 days and 9 nights. The deer was cornered to a coral cliff and there was no way out. Ahei was about to shoot the deer while the deer suddenly looked around and turned into a beautiful girl walking towards him. They finally got married. The girl asked her brothers to defeat the tribal leader. They settled on the cliff and built it into a beautiful manor. Many couples come here to pray for eternal love. At the end of the tour, you will go back to your hotel.
